Soul Desert

Julian Cope has an amazing back catalogue which covers everything from subversive punk, melodic drone, pagan anthems and ranty folk shantys to the more upbeat music of the Teardrop Explodes. He's also found the time to write a beautiful tome on prehistoric architecture in the UK. He's a bit of a hero of mine.

It's hard to pick a single song that stands out from the rest, so instead I'm going to fall back on a weak pun based on my race last night.
I'd suggest following the links to other songs as well. You'll like some & loath others, but all will be interesting!
